Our license lapsed – I renewed – but the registration capabilities are erroring off. The Event Page #6 ?PAGE_ID=6 is not working. I thought it had to do with the lapsed license but now I’m not sure! Also the WP-CAPTCHA Version 4.1 says its loaded by the key is missing????

Hi Linda,

Could you login to your WP dashboard and go to Plugins?

Then locate Event Espresso in the list. What is the version number (e.g. 3.1.37.0)?

Also, could you share a link to any event on your site?

If you aren’t sure, then a link to your site will also work.

Thanks

Lorenzo

I’ve just downloaded the 3.1.37.0 version. Ours was saying its 3.1.36.3P. We also need a product key for WP-reCaptcha – it appears to be missing.

I tried to upload the 3.1.37.0 and it says it failed.
Destination folder already exists. /home2/niko09/public_html/calgaryceliac.com/CCA/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/

now what??

Hi Linda,

You can update to a newer version of Event Espresso by following one of the guides on this documentation page:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/

Please also note that we do not develop or support the WP-reCaptcha plugin. You can contact the developer of WP-reCaptcha for support.

I tried to deactivate the 3.6 and tried to download the 3.7 – still get the same message.

the verions 4.1 shows up to be used. I had to download the version 3.7 – what does it mean when they say “version 4 is not compatible”. What do I need to secure before updating.

okay hopefully last question – before I go ahead with the version 4 – when I renewed our license it was for version 3. Is there anything we need to do if we are updating to version 4. Are the licenses the same???

Hi, try these steps:

1) Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins.

2) Locate Event Espresso in that list.

3) Deactivate and remove the plugin. Also repeat this step for any Event Espresso add-ons (e.g. Events calendar add-on) that may be running.

The steps above will remove old software from your site.

Now you can download the latest software from your account page and install through WordPress Plugins.

Go to this link:

https://eventespresso.com/users/calgaryceliac/#ee3-downloads

Click on Event Espresso 3 in the list. That will download a zip file.

Upload an activate that file through WP-admin –> Plugins –> Add New.

If needed, download the latest versions of add-ons such as the events calendar and also install that version.

Regarding WP-Recaptcha, that isn’t our plugin and it isn’t required for using Event Espresso. Try temporarily deactivating that plugin if it is causing issues.

Let us know once Event Espresso 3 is installed and activated.

WOW this is sooo much fun. I’ve upgraded to 4.6 – before I can migrate it says I need to do past upgrade 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5, and 4.6. Where do I find these????

OKAY SO I GET THAT YOU NEED TO DEACTIVATE AND THEN DELETE PRIOR TO INSTALLING. SO I DECIDED TO GO BACK TO 3.7 – DEACTIVATE 4. AND UPLOAD 3.7 – LOOKS LIKE IT WORKED BUT NOW IT SAYS I NEED ease download and upload the Atos gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. Please see our documentation for more information. | Hide this message

Hi,

The ATOS payment gateway isn’t needed unless you are using that payment gateway for payment processing so you can dismiss that notice.

Since you upgraded to Event Espresso 4 and then moved back to Event Espresso 3, then you’ll need to fix your Event Espresso pages. There are four pages that are used by Event Espresso for registration purposes.

Please update them with the correct shortcodes as shown here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/the-basic-settings/#page

Then browse to WP-admin –> Permalinks and your Event Espresso registration pages should work again.
