Registration page: Ticket selection doesnt work

Dear all,

we have a really strange problem that I am not able to fix. Some users are struggling with selecting 1 or more tickets on this particular page: http://www.ichom.org/events/2016-ichom-conference/

It is working on my end (safari, chrome) but unfortunately, it is not working at some users end. One users has been on the phone with our IS department for the last 30 min without success…
If he changes the quantity to “1” and press “Register now” the quantity number jumps back to “0” and nothing else is happening.

Do you know what could be the problem? This users tested the ticket selector on many devices as well as browsers. I was – again and again – testing it on different machines but didn’t come to a solution since it works for me.

Hi Hubertus,

That’s very strange.

I’ve just tested your site using IE9 & 11, Chrome and Firefox, all without issue.

Did any form of error message show up?

This users tested the ticket selector on many devices as well as browsers.

Were all of these devices tested on the same network? Its possible their ISP is doing something unexpected with the request, possibly rapidly changing the users IP address (we have seen once before where a users external IP changes on EVERY request)

Is there anything within the servers error logs around the time this happened?

Hi Tony,

sorry for getting back so late. Some users still have these problems. We had about 10 of these requests recently. The server logs do not show anything unexpected.

I run out of ideas about this problem and I would be very happy to get this fixed.

We have another 2 requests that say nothing happens when selecting 1 or more tickets and then clicking on “register now”. It would be great if there might be any solution to fix this asap. Unfortunately I cannot do more than addressing this issue. “Hmm – it just takes me back to the page I was on… doesn’t advance. Do you mind checking and seeing if the page is working correctly for you?”

Hi Hubertus, I tested starting the registration process in multiple web browsers and did not experience that issue. I had developer tools open which would show any page errors:

Are these registrants/attendees using an old version of Internet Explorer or are they on a corporate network that may be blocking the registration process?
