My event registrations have stopped working. When you click to register you are taken back to the events page, rather than to the confirmation. I think there may be a shortcode missing. Can you please tell me the correct shortcode for the event registration page. Thanks. |

That is: event registration I think the checkout short code may be missing. Can you please confirm this is the case. Thanks. |

I think I have made the registration work, by adding the shortcode [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]. However, this causes a css problem, whereby the page styles are missing. Please see http://sassystirrers.com/event-registration/#checkout Can you tell me how to fix this so the styles are consistent with the other pages on the site? e.g. http://sassystirrers.com/saturday-club/ |
Hello, It looks like there may be two shortcodes in use on that page. There are 4 shortcodes that help with registrations on your site. Could you go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Critical pages? Next, you may see a status issue for one of the pages. If you do then that is the first page that needs to be corrected. This one (http://sassystirrers.com/event-registration/) should have this shortcode on it: [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] If there are other shortcodes, then go ahead and remove them for now and then save changes. — |

Thanks Lorenzo. I checked the critical pages and they were all OK. No issues reported. However, on the event registration page there were indeed two shorcodes. I have removed [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=all-holiday-workshops] leaving just [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]. However, the styling issue seems to remain uncorrected. I’d appreciate any other suggestions you may have? |
Hello, If you go to that page in the WP page editor and then toggle text in the top right corner, then what do you see there? It looks like there may be some additional content before the shortcode. Could you double-check that it is not wrapped in any html tags and then be sure to save changes? Also, is that page set to use a different page layout via the event editor as compared to other WordPress pages? — |

I have checked. Nothing there except the title and the shortcode. <h3>See all our upcoming workshops and events in the list below.</h3> Besides, all the pages after you click ‘register’ are affected. Here is a link to some screenshots so you can see what I mean. https://www.dropbox.com/s/csrmriurt69xj1b/Screen%20Shot%202016-06-03%20at%2015.17.54.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/fc2opn1mwu5dn8g/Screen%20Shot%202016-06-03%20at%2015.17.38.png?dl=0 |
Hi there, You might try switching the page that has the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] short code to use the same page template that the saturday-club page has. It looks like the saturday-club page is using the Default page template. If the above doesn’t help, can you disable W3 Total Cache’s CSS Minify feature for bit? It’s hard to tell which styles are coming from where. Once it’s disabled it will be possible to troubleshoot further. |
