Hi, I just updated event espresso to Version 4.9.44.p and the event selector page does not advance to the registration page after the update. Instead the following error massage is popping up:
The following errors have occurred:
A database error has occurred. Turn on WP_DEBUG for more information.
A valid Transaction was not found when attempting to update the model entity mapper.

Hi there,

If you enable WP_DEBUG on the site do you see the full error message?

I eblieve this is the error code when in WP-DEBUG:
An EE_Error exception was thrown! code: EEM_Base – _do_wpdb_query – 2201
“WPDB Error: “INSERT command denied to user ‘dbo353408887’@’66.175.239.44’ for table ‘wpesp_line_item'””

Yes, that’s the one.

The user for your site does not have access to insert rows into the tables of the database (if not all then some).

I’d recommend contacting your host to have them update the permissions on your MySQL user account to fix this, if you provide them with the above error they should be able to take it from there.

I contacted my host and they said it the error was due to Event Espresso plugin. I submitted a priority support token, can you please proceed with the priority support? I don not think I am going to get help from 1and1 (website host). Thank you.

Hi there,

I don’t see how we could have the access level to change the permissions for your database user. Dose the support tech from your host have the ability to at least verify database user permissions? The error message indicates that it isn’t due to Event Espresso, it’s a database permissions issue.

The problem didn’t occur until I did the update yesterday to event espresso to Version 4.9.44.p. Is there a previous version I can try to install to see if it will work?

I tried your previously installed version (4.9.40.p) and the same error occurs.

Does the support tech from your host have the ability to at least verify database user permissions?

Along with the above, your site doesn’t allow doing any common WordPress tasks like adding new categories, posts, and pages. It appears that the database user’s INSERT privilege for all of the WP tables needs to be restored.

If there is not enough storage in the database could that be causing the issues?

The database is over the storage limit. I am having the database storage increased and will see if that resolves the issue. I will report back asap.

Yes.

Hi, so my host increased the database storage which resolved the first issue (step 1 Attendee Information) however the payment screen options are not showing after the registration form (step 2 Payment Options). It should show payment form and then braintree credit card form at the bottom of the page.

It looks like someone added some CSS to your site that hides all the payment forms:

I can go ahead and remove the errant CSS.

Yes, please do. I’m not sure why that CSS would have been used. Where did you find that?

in wp-content/themes/u-design-child/style.css line 733. It’s removed now and you’ll need to clear your browser’s cache to use the updated stylesheet.
