Registration not working on mobile

Hi. My registration is working fine on the desktop, but not on mobile. when trying to register for any event from a mobile device, I get “sorry there was a security error and your registration was not saved”. I’ve tested on 2 devices and get the same issue.

Hi. I’ve realised that this is not only on mobile devices, but any device when the user is not logged in. It only works when I am logged in as admin.

Hi Jenny,

I checked on this and it appears that there are quite a few templates that are copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. I can advise renaming this directory so that the templates that are in the Event Espresso plugin can be used instead.

If you have modified templates in the /uploads/espresso location, they may need to be updated to the new template files included with the current version of the plugin. If you haven’t made any modifications to the templates, these can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, back these up or rename that folder just in case.

Also, it appears there is a caching plugin active. The page that has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it needs to be set to not be cached so that the security check (among other things) will work. You can disallow specific pages from the cache in WP Super Cache’s advanced settings page. After you disallow the Event Espresso pages from the cache the settings box will look something like this:
