I can’t seem to solve this but is there any reason a person who registered and paid (confirmed paid, tickets sent etc) would not show in the “transactions” section? Any known reasons for this? |
If you go to Event Espresso > Registrations, then click through to view the Registration record, what happens when you click on the View Transactions button that’s in the Registration Details box? |

Hey Josh, sorry but yeah that is what I am saying. When I go to When I go into Event Espresso > transactions I can not find the registration. The only thing I can think of is that the paypal email was not the same as the registration email and that this person actually paid with their paypal account/email. So the record had their work email for example and maybe their paypal email is what gets tracked to “transactions”. The problem with this theory is when I go to Event Espresso > Registrations and click the transaction icon I see the same email and name as in the registration. Same as when I review the receipt details. At the end of the day I know the record is there. Just odd I can only find this one this way so if this should be chalked up to an outlier I’m good. |

Quick update – I looked at this again tonight and when going into transactions I do see the person’s transaction number and name now. When I did the name, email and transaction search in the filter search it did not show. What I did to find it was edit the wordpress setting to show all records on a single page and hit <control+F> and did a search on it. Sure enough it was there. |
One thing you can keep in mind about the Transaction search is it queries by specific database fields. What that means is, for example, if you input “Jon Smith” into the search field it will not return results if the actual first name in the database is “Jonathan”. So if you’re having trouble with finding a specific transaction with the search you can try searching by first name only and then try searching by last name only. |

Hey Josh, no I did full name, partial name, email, transaction number. Its my 5th year of using EE on 4 or 5 sites. I have a handle on the filters, or so I thought. And new today, we did a transaction csv export and sure enough, that record was not in the export. Like I said, I can get to the record if I <control+F> on the page, I can get to it if I go from the registration, but not if I filter for it and it is not in the export. |
There actually isn’t a transaction CSV report. There’s only a registration CSV report, unless your site has some custom development that adds a transaction CSV report. One thing about the Registration CSV report is it will not include reigstrations where the related transaction has the Abandoned status. If you go to Event Espresso > Transactions, then click on the Abandoned Transactions link, is the transaction listed there? |

This transaction is not listed in abandoned. It was fully paid. Emails were triggered. Client called to confirm. And sorry, yes I mean registrations. So if I go and look at the events list (where it shows all of our events) and I click on the “people/registrants” icon there are currently zero registrations. I can get to the “registration” and in there is a link to that event so i know I am looking at the same event. So this person was technically the first yet when I go to the event IN THIS MANNER (important note) there are no registrations, attempted, pending, abandoned…. nothing. BUT, if I go to “edit” the event under the top right “approved registrations” link it says (1) and there is the registrant. A) SO I can’t find the registrant in the transactions search or within the events list “registrants” icon. The only exception is if I <control+F> on the page. B) I can find the registrant in the registrants list and if I go to edit the event and click on the “approved” list. I know for a fact that this person is part of the event because of the link to this event in their registration details and because of (B) above. Gremlin in this individual purchase? |
Can I take a look at this registration to see if I can spot anything strange? If so you can send temp login details using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ (Note I’ll obviously need some details of that specific registration so I know where to look, you can include those details in the message section of the above form) |
