Hello, I am running into a problem. When someone registers for an even and the email is sent to them which has the (download invoice link ) When they click on that it takes them to a screen that shows the class. When you click on where it says pay online. it takes you to a screen that shows a registration number. There does not seem to be a link that indicates that they can click to pay. There is a link at the top that says class/event when you click on that it takes you to a screen where you have to enter your name all over again. Is this how this is supposed to work? Its not that clear as to what the customer is supposed to do. If they enter their info again. will it bring them to the billing page to enter credit card info? also since they are entering all their info again will this depilate the registration. Meaning will I show two registrations for the same person? Also I have been having a lot of issues since we have started using this system. I have had to hire programmers several times and still don’t have a registration process that is working. (the calendar issue is still on going) I am thinking I would like to hire you to trouble shoot several issues for me as one last ditch effort before we scrap this system. I would probably need to speak with someone over the phone to trouble shoot the issues that I am having. Because there are several! Can you advise if this is possible. Thank you] Dale |
Do you have any payment gateways active? Can you post a link to your event registration page so we can see what you’re talking about? |

I use Authorize.net http://thedriversadvantage.com/about/event_mainegistration/

Hi Dale, I checked your site and did a test registration. It looks like the “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” option is set to No. You can make the payment options appear on the payment page by going to Event Espresso>General Settings and under advanced settings look for “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” and set this option to Yes. Then please be sure to click Save Options after changing the setting. |

Looks like that took care of that issue! Thank you for the assistance. |

One more question. I have noticed that in some of the fields such as when they enter the credit card expiration date, there is no indication of how that info should be entered. For example 05/13 or 0513 0r 05-13. Is there a way to indicate a hint such as putting an example of how it needs to be entered. Its has been my experience that customers will not know how to enter the info if you don’t spell it out specifically for them. |

Hi Dale, Easiest way to change that is to translate the string so that it shows a message similar to this http://d.pr/i/uOVb. There are a couple of options 1) Use translation software to change the language files, here’s a guide https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ 2) If you are ok with PHP add a function like this to your themes functions.php file http://www.viper007bond.com/2011/07/13/changing-core-wordpress-strings/ |
