Hi Support,

I have used event registration but when existing user without login try to register for the event then will not show first login step. It will register the user for that event with out sending registration and login information to particular user.

Thanks,

Hi,

I’ll ask a few questions for clarification because I’m having a bit of trouble with understanding the issue, and “is not working” isn’t clear enough to know the way forward:

when existing user without login try to register for the event then will not show first login step

So it will not show first login step, what does it show instead?

It will register the user for that event with out sending registration and login information to particular user.

So it does register them, but did they already have a user account or no? If it’s a matter of the emails not sending, can you check to see if sending a password reset email from your WordPress admin works as expected?

I’m still not clear what the issue, but I’ll try to guess: You’re seeing “Login” listed as step one, but there’s no “Login” form. That’s because the login isn’t being required. If you want to require a login, you can set that option within the event.

If that’s not the issue, please outline the exact steps to replicate the issue, and if you can post links to screenshot that will also help us help you.

Hi,

Okay, I will explain you what was the issue.
When any new visitor want to book event then he/she will come to site and search related event, then select the quantity and click on book now. then he/she will redirect to registration checkout page there they can fill all their personal details and then make a payment and event will get booked. After that he/she will get redirect to order details page at the same time get mail notification. But after some days if he/she wants to check what was my event timing and address then where he/she can find it? the possibilities are one in mail or second on website so for the second option he/she need website login details and that details he/she is not getting after event booking process is completed.

So my requirement is I want to get user register at the time he/she book event and want to send mail notification his/her login credential.

Currently visitor only get booked event details in mail not any login details for future use.

If you are still unclear please feel free to ask.

Thanks,

Josh

Hi,

You could require that the register a user account then log in to the site before registering for the event. That’s set in the event options within the event. This way, before they register for the event, they’ll know their username password and know how to log into the site before they register for the event.
