I have a conference coming up that will have breakout sessions. I need our participants to indicate which breakout they will attend. In the past I was able to have the answer listed on the ticket that was printed. Im having trouble figuring that out with EE4. This is an example of my questions. Can you tell me how to get the answers on the ticket Im customizing? |

Last question Josh. I upgraded yesterday from EE3 to EE4. I have an event setup for May with sales starting in September of this year. Its not loading to my event registration page. The settings page says the registration page is ok and I checked the shortcode and its correct. |
|
So I cant have a specific answer come up? I dont want all the answers from the registration form. I just want the answers to what breakouts they selected. Is there a better way to handle things like breakout sessions? We only have so much room in each breakout session so I need to know who signed up for what so we can cap it. |
EE4 works differently to EE3, you can’t link directly to the registration form and need to select tickets from the ticket selector, then submit those and be redirected to your registration checkout. So when you say its not loading the event registration page, can you list the steps you are taking to reproduce this, or link us to the event and provide steps we need to see the problem. I ran a couple of tesats on your site and the checkout loaded fine for me, so it may be that it’s working as expected, but not how you are currently expecting.
Yes you can. For that you use the So if you had a question with the ‘Question Text’ field set to ‘Breakout session?’, the shortcode you would use is Like this – http://take.ms/Upyh4 That will pull the answer for that registrant and display it on the ticket.
Can more than one person register in a single transaction or just the one? If one you can add the break out sessions as additional tickets within the event and the user selects the session(s) on the ticket selector before proceeding but it depends on how you want registrations to work. |

Thank you for the response. Ill try that with the tickets. As far as registration, I guess Im used to them landing on the event registration page. Once they did they would see a general description and then be able to select their tickets. When I go to the event registration page now, nothing is there. https://www.cincinnatisportsmed.com/event-registration/ We have two events that weekend. When I used EE3, I could create an event for both and they would both show up. If people wanted to register for both they could and just pick one. I have the multi event plugin activated. I guess Im just used to EE3. Is it hard to go back to EE3? |

I tried the recipient answer but Im not having any luck. Im sure its just something Im not doing right. This is my ticket: http://www.cincinnatisportsmed.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Screen-Shot-2017-12-01-at-2.46.03-PM.png This is my last of questions I need answered on the ticket: http://www.cincinnatisportsmed.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Screen-Shot-2017-12-01-at-2.46.37-PM.png This is the details of one of the actual questions: http://www.cincinnatisportsmed.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Screen-Shot-2017-12-01-at-2.46.53-PM.png What am I doing wrong? |
Can you double check and make sure your shortcode text matches the question text exactly? From looking at the screenshot it looks like the shortcode text is missing some spaces. |

Still not working. Should I be copy and pasting the Question text or Question Label? This is what it looks like with the Question text. |
The Question text, and while it’s not evident what the actual text should be, I can find it here: http://www.cincinnatisportsmed.com//wp-json/ee/v4.8.36/questions/16 So you’ll need to change the shortcode in the ticket template to read exactly as follows: |
|
Along with the above, because there’s apparently an issue with double spaces getting trimmed to one space, it will be best to switch the editor mode to “Text” from “Visual”. |

I was able to get the answer to work doing what you suggested. It appears to have issues answering more than one question. I have 3 questions I need answers for. If I list any one of the three its fine. If I duplicate the answer three times its fine. If I put in three different [RECIPIENT_ANSWER_*] then it will not populate anything. Thoughts? |
Can you copy and paste the exact contents of the message text you’re working with into a pastebin or gist, then link here, so we can investigate? |

strangely enough. its working now. Is there a way to decrease the font size of the answer? So it takes up less space on the ticket |
Yes you can switch to text mode in the editor and wrap the answer shortcode in a span element and set the font-size inline. e.g.

perfect thank you. while we are on the subject of tickets. If I have multiple price points to an event. Can I create a custom ticket for each one? |
No because that’s not actually a feature. |
