When I drill into a single event I see the content but there is no registration form. The Events host page has the required espresso tag. What do I need to change so that they can register on the event page?

Thanks

Update, I don’t see the Register Now button when I turn off the “Display Ticket Selector”. This means that I can’t let people register without showing the Tickets. I don’t want nor have any tickets to sell etc. (It’s for hosting webinars).

Also, if I enable it and I click on Register Now it does nothing if you leave quantity equal to 0. No error message etc. It just refreshes.

Hi Kerry,

Please double-check your Event Espresso shortcodes in General Settings and in WordPress pages:

Also the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] should be used once on the events registration page. If you are using it multiple times, then please change those additional shortcodes to [EVENT_LIST] and save changes.

All my settings are as expected. I saw another post that said that you can’t have people register without the Ticket Selector and “payment” workflow (in ver 4). Is that correct? I’m frustrated that the most simple of use cases (having someone register for something) isn’t supported w/o making it look like they need to buy something.

Hi,

The registration process needs to run so they would need to select at least one ticket.

If that is disabled, then they won’t be able to register.

Also, the messaging can be changed to “course” or something else by using a gettext filter or a plugin like Quick Localization.

Additionally, the zero price can be changed to say “free”

Perhaps I bought the wrong product but the fact that it is not easy to make a single page wherein they can fill out a few fields and hit Register is beyond me. How can this be overlooked? There are a bunch of postings trying to simplify your product.

Hi,

No registrations can be completed without selecting a ticket. If the minimum and maximum for the ticket is set to 1, then the registrant can click on register without needing to select anything and enter their registration details.
