Hi, A couple questions regarding the registration form and questions: -I added a “start date” question with a calendar dropdown but the first time you choose a date it says “this field is required” in red. It is not until you choose the date a second time that the system turns green and accepts the answer. http://www.artnook.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Screen-Shot-2015-09-08-at-10.36.38-AM.png -The question “country” is a locked item but I want it to be a country dropdown as opposed to a text area. How do I change this? Thanks, |

Hi Cindra, The validation runs if you click on a required question and then click away. Selecting a value (e.g.) date should make it disappear. Could you provide us with a link to an event that uses that question group so we can take a look? State/province & Country should be dropdown questions. I’ll follow up with you privately on this. — |

The state/province portion of this question has been resolved. However the date portion has not…I am fine with the validation running out when you click away but that is not what is happening here. Check out the link. All of the events on this page have the “start date” question and are having the issue. |

September 11, 2015 at 12:23 pm Thanks, it appears that this is a visual issue as some content in there will allow you to continue with registration: http://cl.ly/image/3Q1H2S281U3P With the other fields, you have to click in the field and have the focus there deactivates the visual cue. It can be improved though so I’ll create an enhancement ticket. — |

September 11, 2015 at 12:38 pm I did not completely understand this but again, as long as you know how to fix it, we are good to go. |

September 11, 2015 at 12:58 pm Sure, I’ll try again. This has some room for improvement so I’ve already created a report for our development team. I believe that the issue is that the datepicker enters an option that has been selected but does not move the text cursor (blinking |) to the field after it has been selected. If you look at another field like the name and then click it and try to skip it, then you’ll see that visual cue for required. However, when you click on the field which moves the cursor there and enter something, then it goes away. — |

Ok. Yes. So like my calendar, this will come via update? |
|
Yes, a one-click update through your WP dashboard. You won’t need to change any code if that is what you are asking. — |
|
Yes. That is what I was asking. Also is there a time frame for these things that are being worked on by the developer team? Like is those things that will be done today or will it be longer? Thanks so much! |

Hi, I don’t have an estimate on when it will be completed but once it is, then we’ll update this support post. — |

Hey Lorenzo, It has been almost two weeks and still no updates on this issue or the calendar issue that are supposed to be worked on by the developer team. Any updates? |
|
Hi, both of these are still in progress. Once they have been resolved, then they’ll be made available as a one-click update. — |
|
This has been fixed! You can get the fix by updating to the current version of Event Espresso 4! |
|
Great! Just to be clear, this is registration issue that has been fixed? Or the calendar issue? Or both? |
|
Hi, the visual cue issue with the date time picker has been corrected. — |
