We’re testing registrations and I assumed that the filter ‘incomplete’ would show registrations with incomplete payments. It doesn’t show any registrations at all. How can we see only registrations that are awaiting payment?
In our case, we had free tickets that were not reducing in quantity when registering. So I set registrations to be Approved upon completion – does that override pending payments?
Also, shouldn’t free tickets reduce the number of tickets?

Yes it will.
All your registration will be set to Approved.
Free tickets should automatically switch to Approved when you finalize the registration (even if the default status is Pending Payment), the problem with switching the default registration status to Approved is this will apply to any paid tickets you have meaning paid tickets will be approved before they have actually paid.
Are you offering paid and free tickets together within a registration?

‘Approved’ registrations apply to the sold values of your event. Free tickets should automatically switch to Approved, is that not the case on your site?
If a user registers onto a Paid ticket and multiple Free tickets within a single registration, the free tickets will not be Approved until the paid ticket is Approved (paid for).
So none of those tickets will apply until the registration fee is paid.
