Hello Anderson, Your site is running an old version of Event Espresso from last year so we recommend updating to the current software. You can get access to the latest software by reactivating your support license: https://eventespresso.com/pricing/?ee_ver=ee4 Also, if this was previously working but recently stopped, then it may be a conflict with another plugin on your site. Try temporarily deactivating all plugins and reactivating Event Espresso 4 and re-testing. I do still recommend purchasing another support license as your version at 4.4.x is from last year so it is out of date. — |

Hi Lorenzo, we have purchased the new license. How to we upgrade? As I remember, we do not need to re-install the plug-in right, we only need to update the Key into WordPress. Where should I add the Key in WordPress? We have a Multi-Site WP. |
The key field will be on the Event Espresso > General Settings page, on the main site of the network only. |
Hi Anderson, The support license key will be available on the primary site on the network. You can go to the network admin and deactivate and delete Event Espresso. Then download the latest copy from your Event Espresso downloads area: https://eventespresso.com/users/1target/#ee4-downloads It will be saved to your computer as a zip file and then you can upload it. Then go back to the site where it was running and activate. Since you are on an older version, then it will ask you to migrate. Be sure to complete the migration so your information is transferred to the latest version of Event Espresso and then Event Espresso will move itself out of maintenance mode. — |

I’m confused, and afraid to loose the old events from the Client. Should I install the new plug-in version or just change the Key? Lorenzo, you mentioned about deleting our current plug-in and reinstalling the new verison… will that loose old events from the website? We only have 1 website that uses EE in our Multisite, and it is not the main site of the network. I found where the key is on the main site of the network. Now on the site which uses EE I have these 3 messages showing: 1. 2. 3. |
It shows that I have version- Event Espresso – 4.4.10.p |
No. The events are stored in the database. The PHP files that make up the Event Espresso plugin are just that, PHP files.
In either case, you’ll get the new version. If you’re concerned about losing data, then you really should be making backups of the database, and have a plan on how to restore your site’s data. |
