Primary registrant for transaction could not be found due to technical issue

Hi,

I received this message from a customer this morning, I’m unsure of what this error means and why it’s happening. Any ideas?

Good morning!

Today I was able to get past the first page where I entered my name and
region for the registration. When I submit the second page that has my
credit card information to purchase the tickets I get a popup with the
following text:

An error has occurred:
The primary registrant for this transaction could not be determined due to
a technical issue.
Please try again or contact * for assistance.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Payment_Options –
_capture_primary_registration_data_from_billing_form – 1022

Hey Mike,

Are you on the latest version of EE and the Stripe add-on? We issued a fix for a similar error some time ago.

I’m on the latest version (EE 4.7.9.p) and am not using the Stripe addon (using PayPal pro).

Hi Mike, were you able to duplicate this issue from your end? Also, do you know which web browser was in use and could you provide a link to the event?

I’d like to check to see if there are errors on the registration checkout page.

The error has not happened for me, no. I will try and track down the browser that was used, I will have to ask the user.

Did the user leave the page open for a long period of time before registering?

If you check your servers error logs, do you see any issues with timeouts or memory exhausted error messages?
