I have even installed the WP Check Email plugin and it shows that WP can send emails. I am trying to send from our non-profit domain info@ryepta.org… not sure if that is a problem? I am receiving an email from the main system as administrator saying that someone has registered and purchased a ticket, but the customer is not receiving their receipt with ticket PDF etc. They are receiving email from PayPal though. Please help! Note: we use Dreamhost as our host provider and email Thank you, |
Hi Kristen, The problem with emails is there are so many factors that Event Espresso has no control over. The fact that the Admin email sends but not the Attendee is interesting however. Can you link to an event we can run a test registration on please? |

I have the opposite problem, customer receives email, but admin does not. As per a suggestion in another post, I installed WP SMTP, but no emails are sent. |
@Krisin, Are you using an SMTP plugin? I notice on the payment page there are errors in ragards to SMTP. SMTP -> ERROR: Password not accepted from server: 535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 I’m not sure how these are being displayed as they are not a part of Event Espresso. However the Error message shows the username and password are incorrect for the email account your are currently using. |

I would recommend using a service such as Mandrill with the wpMandrill plugin to connect to it. It is free for up to 10,000 emails per month, removes a lot of the issues when dealing with emails and allows for in-depth email reporting/tracking.If you are are currently using Mailchimp to manage subscription lists it will also integrate well with the lists.

@Tony… I no have the wpMandrill plugin installed. Some email confirmations are coming through, but the most important one with the clickable link to download the attendee’s ticket is not. Here is the direct event link again for you to try (please and thank you): Kristin |

@Tony… I meant to say “I now have the wpMandrill plugin installed” |

Please help! The event registration emails are still not working even though I installed Mandrill plugin. That plugin did help with send a group of attendees about a makeup class, but not the important email that has the ticket download! |
Hi Kristin, I just registered onto the event you linked above (http://www.ryepta.org/?page_id=251) and received the registration email without any issues. However, the ‘ticket link’ has not been included within the registration email. I think there is confusion as to how the ticket is included. The ticketing Add-on creates the QR ticket etc, but you need to manually include the link to this Ticket within the registration email. The easiest method to do this is to go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Under email settings you’ll find ‘Default Registration Confirmation Email’ with an editor. You can then add the shortcode [ticket_link] to that email to include a link to their ticket within the email. You can also inclue just the QR code within the email so they can just show the email at the door also. We have some documentation on how to setup the ticket services available here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/ In reference directly to editing the email, you can go here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/#email When includeing tickets within the registration email, you may also want to set ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ to No. So they only receive the Confirmation email & ticket after payment has been completed. Does that help? |
