Hi,
When I complete registration and click submit, it just brings me back to an incomplete reg form, it does not register me or send me to paypal to make payment:

Hi Rob,

Please double-check the four Event Espresso shortcodes through Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Page Settings.

Event Espresso needs those four shortcodes to be published on the correct pages for registration checkout to work as expected. If the Espresso Events shortcode has been replaced, then please restore that shortcode.

Also ensure that the PayPal IPN is running:

Does this mean that I cannot separate several types of registration across several pages?
It’s hard to put the right meaning into words but if you click on the link on the site “Register” or “Register Now” you’ll see where I have used a form with conditional logic to separate the required registrations. Then there’s a link to several pages each with the event shortcode on.
Is it back to the drawing board?

You can do that, but you still need a single page containing [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] set in the Page Settings that Lorenzo mentioned.

In a nut shell, all events are passed to the page containing [ESPRESSO_EVENTS], how you initially display them is up to you, you can use other pages with [EVENT_LIST], [SINGLE_EVENT] etc but they all basically display the events, than when the user fills in the details, they pass those details to [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] to continue the registration.

So currently, you have the ‘event registration‘ page (which defaults to [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]) set with what looks like [SINGLE_EVENT], so that shortcode displays the event, the user enters the details and the form is submitted to the ‘Main Registration Page’ from the settings above … however that is the event registration page, so the single event displays again.

If you alter the event-registration page to contain only [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] then create a new page for the event that is currently displayed on that page your registrations will start to work correctly. You’ll need to update any links that go to ‘event-registration’ excepting the ‘Boys Beating Cancer – Newbury 2015 – 1k Family Run’ event to the new page you will create.

Does that make sense?

Got it, silly me.

Thank you so much I am delighted with this solution again now.
