May I ask was the registration status Pending Payment before it was changed to Wait List? The reason that happens is to prevent overselling past a limit.
So for example there are 10 pending payment registrations, but only 5 spaces remaining. After those 5 spaces are taken, any remaining pending payment registrations get switched to a Wait List status. If they were allowed to pay after no more spaces were left, your event will be oversold.
So one option would be to set the Default Registration Status to be Approved, this way every registration secures a spot, even without paying.
I mention one other options for the sake of clarity, and that would be to not set a limit for the datetimes/tickets. The obvious downside to that option could lead to overselling.
Yes, the status is pending payment. We cannot set default status to Approved as I discussed it before.
I understand your logic that works great with instant payments, but does not work for us with bank drafts.
However at the moment, it seems it happens even before reaching the limit of spaces. I don’t understand why and it is difficult to trace.
In that other topic, didn’t Tony share a solution that would allow for using the Approved default status?
In any case, there’s a ticket reservation system in place that prevents overselling. So if there’s a lot of ticket reservations for a specific ticket at a given time, the same thing will happen where a registration with the status Pending Payment will get changed to Waitlist because there are no available spaces at the moment.
