Our site uses Multi Event Registration. After checking out with multiple events, multiple confirmation emails get sent out. Each email lists some of the events that were registered. For instance, if I checkout with 4 events, email #1 will list the first 2 events and email #2 with list the last 2 events. Is there a way to get all events listed in one confirmation email? |

Additional info: So I should add that we are using EE4 and the events are set up with multiple datetimes and multiple tickets. |

Hi Laurel, So, when you say that someone checks out with multiple events, are you saying these are different events or different datetimes; are there different datetimes for each ticket or the same ticket for multiple datetimes? Can you detail how you have your registration form set up? Are you collecting information for each attendee, or just the primary attendee? Are these tickets free or paid or a mix of free and paid? What is the default registration status of the event(s)? |

Hi Garth, We have 6 events that users can register for. Each event has multiple datetimes and each datetime is mapped to a unique ticket. We do not collect info for multiple attendees, just the primary attendee. All tickets are free. The default registration status is Approved. I hope that helps! |

Hi Laurel, I’ve been looking into this and so far I can’t reproduce it. I’m using Multi Event Registration (MER for short) to add multiple tickets from multiple events into the cart and then checking out. You said you don’t collect additional registrant info, so that’s how my events are setup. When I’m testing this I’m only getting a single email generated for the Registrant and that email lists the events selected in the group: https://monosnap.com/file/b5YbSEMzBmrJXjPacepnOWLNzH9R1n Content 1: https://monosnap.com/file/mxqePesPwte6MEc9E35EI78laxbK3T Content 2: https://monosnap.com/file/Gok7ugQfMw3x0CW91hcnlflV7Qddhr I’m guessing I have something set up different to you, can you link me to the events I can run a test registration on and add some details on how to reproduce on your site (I’m guessing just select tickets from multiple events and register, but just wanted to confirm). |

Ok, so the issue here is you are using the ‘wrong’ message contents. In short your using messages expected to go to the event admin and sending them to the registrant. You’ve customized the message templates to suit, which is fine, but the problem is you’ve edited the ‘Event Admin’ context and used it for the messages that would be sent to the registrant. Every message type has multiple ‘contexts’ in which they are used, so to give an example when a registration is Approved you want a message to send to the Event Admin and the Registrant, they are both ‘Registration Approved’ messages but will very likely have different content, right? EE handles that by having multiple versions (aka contexts) of every message type that can be edited independently and EE expects them to be used for specific setups. Info on message contexts can be found here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/ So right now you’re getting your events emails split across 2 different emails because your events have 2 different authors. EE is expecting that context to go to the event authors so it needs to split them to send an email relevant for each event. You’ve changed the TO field to be ‘[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL]’. and the content to be intended for the registrant but EE still expects the Event admin context to go to the Event Admin, you want your content in the ‘Registrant’ context. You’ll need to edit your message templates and transfer the content of the messages into the correct context for them to work correctly. |

Wow. Thank you for digging into this and providing those details. I updated the message contexts as you explained and everything is being sent correctly now. Thanks again! |

Awesome, I’m glad it’s working for you 🙂 Any further problems just let me know. I’ve deleted your login credentials and you can remove my account again now. |
