Once you put in your registration information (first name, last name, email) and click your payment method (paypal standard is our only option), you are taken off-site to paypal. Once you pay, you are redirected back to the site, to a page that is all jacked up: the url of the page is: |
Hi, its sounds like the content is being loaded into the sidebar area. Does your theme have a no-sidebar or full page width layout that you could enable for the thank you page? The messaging that you mentioned, encourages the registrants/attendees to return to your site after completing a registration so they can view their registration confirmation. Some member may close the window after completing a payment on PayPal.com. — |

Thanks for the reply Lorenzo. I have a few follow up questions: 1. While I appreciate that notice BEFORE they leave to go pay at PayPal, I don’t understand why that’s what they would see once again when they return from PayPal. It makes it seems as though they are supposed to click that “Finalize Registration” button once again… even though they can’t, because for some reason, NOTHING on that page is clickable. 2. I’m not even sure why that is the page that customers are being redirected to after paying at PayPal. Is that a setting from within EE or within PayPal? My PayPal settings are telling it to return the customer to a page called Thank You, not Registration Checkout. 3. How is it that when you visit the Registration Checkout page directly [http://lauritawinery.com/registration-checkout/] it looks fine? It’s only when you’re taken there directly from PayPal that it gets all jacked up. |

For what it’s worth, I did change the Registration Checkout page’s template to a full-width, and it did (obviously) fix the sidebar issue. BUT, it’s still displaying the “Method of Payment” and “Important information regarding your payment” sections. See for yourself… |
Hi Jason, I have a question about your earlier comment above. To clarify, the registrant should only see this when they are starting registration checkout and going to PayPal to complete the payment. They should not see that page when they return from PayPal. If that is what is happening, then there may be an issue with the critical pages for Event Espresso. Could you go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Critical Pages. Is each page set to its own page? For example, can you confirm that Registration checkout is not set for the Event Espresso thank you page? — |

Hi, I found your support post with Josh. I see that already has some information available there. — |

That is EXACTLY what is happening! They are being REDIRECTED there FROM PayPal instead of the Thank You page. I believe Josh has logged in and seen the Critical Settings page for himself, but here you go: http://awesomescreenshot.com/01a4dfje7d |
Hi, I replied with this workaround via email and I’ll also share it here for other members that may run into this error. Try temporarily disable the auto return URL on your PayPal.com account. 1. Log in and click the Profile subtab under My Account. Then save changes. We’ll update this support post once we have additional information available. Thanks. — |
