event is located at https://binnaclehouse.org/events/casino-night/
I’m testing right now, using the free ticket to walk thru the form and registration process. when I click “proceed to finalize registration” after filling out the registration form, I get a page not found….with this url.
Suspect some conflict between GiveWPplugin and Event Espresso? or is it happening in the payment gateway?

I don’t think the issue is a conflict with GiveWP – when I try to view the event espresso thank you page from the WP dashboard https://binnaclehouse.org/fund-raiser-thank-you/ I get page not found.

Hi there,

Generally, this means the WordPress pages holding the EE shortcodes have been trashed.

Go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages (tab)

That will list out all of the EE critical pages and check the shortcode status and page status.

The important part for this issue is the Thank you page section, what does it show for Page Status and Shortcode?

Click the Edit link for the thank you page, is the page it takes you to published?

If unsure for any of the above just add a screenshot of the pages and I’ll check:

I sent the screenshots as email attachments, since I couldn’t paste them here, nor did I see a file upload capability

the email bounced back…how do I send you screen shots…by the way, everything looks fine…except when I “view” the registration checkout and the thank you page, from the general settings -> critical page I get “not found” for both of them, yet they are noted as “page status OK and shortcode OK

Which email? support[at]eventespresso.com?

They could be larger than 10MB in total which will likely cause the email to bounce.

You could upload them to your site using the media uploads and then post the links to them here (set your reply to private).

Or, if it’s easier send temp login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll take a look within the admin directly.

Ok, so https://binnaclehouse.org/fund-raiser-thank-you/

Is NOT your EE thank you page.

https://binnaclehouse.org/thank-you/

In general settings if you click the Edit link for the thank you page, it takes you to the EE critical page with the correct shortcode:

https://monosnap.com/file/kEOfh0DDWpy8xuFdaFfb5eKfqDL9kV

However, there seems to be a redirect from the thank-you page, to the fund raiser page (which is in the trash so now shows 404).

I’m not sure where that redirect is from, it’s not from Event Espresso itself.

It looks like setting up another EE critical thank you page with a different slug other than thank-you will fix this, but do you know where the fund-raiser-thank-you page is from?

yes I have a 301 redirect set up from /thank-you to /fund-raiser-thank-you with a note that it was to track FB ads to the event signup. I can remove the redirect as it no longer applies – that should fix it, correct?

yes, its fixed by removing the redirect in the htacess file. thank you

Correcy, the thank you page set within Event Espresso has a shortcode which needs to load to finalize registrations, the redirect is preventing that as the thank you page no longer loads, the fund raiser thank you page does.

Great, I’m glad that fixed it 🙂
