I have paid Event espresso.
When someone finished the registration process but not continue to payment page, the system recorded as “Pending Payment / Abandoned”.

How i can make the system to send me an email notification that a person has left the booking process? I have to go manually to WP/event espresso/registrations – and then i see them in orange colour.

Its very annoying and rather odd as the details of the person already on the system.

Thank you guys.

Hi there,

Currently, we don’t have a feature to trigger emails for abandoned transactions so you can’t do the above.

We create registrations (and their related entities) really early on and then update each as the registrant steps through the process, so the contact details are captured as soon as the registrant completes the attendee information step. Because of that setup its possible to have many abandoned registrations and a lot of which may never have intended to complete anyway, so didn’t include a feature to trigger those emails in the current version.

Hey Tony,
Thank you for your respond.
Im not talking on the system sending email to registrants as a reminder that they left the registration process — All i wish, is the system to alert me (the Admin) that someone hasn’t continued to the payment stage… so i can follow up.

I disagree with your statement of “many abandoned registrations and a lot of which may never have intended to complete anyway” I do understand when a registrant have changed their mind, although its might be a very small percentage.

As a small business and particular in this Covid times, every potential lead can be converted to a sale if he/she been approach in the right time.

Do you think you guys can made that option available to admin? or even better, make it so admin can choose to activate it or leave it off.
therefore, if its a large business that receive many abandoned can switch it off and a small business can have the option to follow up.

Thank you and looking forward reading your respond.

cheers
Zigi

Yes, I understand.

The world would be dull if we all agreed 🙂

Unfortunately, as much as I wish it wasn’t the case, from the data we’ve collected previously the percentage often wasn’t all that small. It may well be for your site but not everyone, don’t forget that spam registrations will also be included. Yes there are also methods for filtering those but they need to be included regardless because they do inevitably make it through.

I do understand your points though.

I can add this as a feature request, however, we believe in being as transparent and open as we be can with our development path and as much as I’d like to say this is something we could add relative soon with the current demand on features it is unlikely.

Again, I’m not dismissing your feature at all just giving a realistic answer based on development, demand and current feature set.
