G’day – I updated EE yesterday and today we are unable to accept registrations. Upon trying to register for an event we get “You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process”. This simply becomes circular.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Phil,

Could you let us know your version number for Event Espresso?

This can be found in the WordPress plugins screen.

Also, are there any caching services in use on your site such as a caching plugin or a webhost that offers built-in caching services?

The version is 4.6.0 – there is another update there now which I will do.
We don’t have any caching plug-ins activated!
Many thanks

This seems to be a duplicate of https://eventespresso.com/topic/split-registration-checkout/ which is an issue that I’m having problems with to.

Hi Phil,

Whilst you may not be running any caching plugins, your host may be using server side caching, can you check with them to see if they are?

‘Nothing in your event queue’ is commonly what happens when the checkout page has been cached.

Hi, I am also having this problem. I am using version Version 4.6.1.p. I do not have any caching plugins, also host my own site and do not have server side caching.

Any ideas?

Caching causes problems with the session, but you could still have session problems even without caching. I made this little test file:
https://github.com/sidharrell/bunchOfJunk/blob/master/cache_test.php
to try to provide a way of directly checking sessions. You just put that php file in your wp root, and load it directly in the browser. As you reload it, it should increment. If it doesn’t then we know there is a session problem independent of WP and EE. I should make it into a wp-plugin, so that we could use it to check session functionality within WP.

Hi everyone,

Event Espresso 4.6.4, which is available to download now, has the fix for the Nothing in your event queue issue.
