Hi Marcus,

It looks like you’ve swapped the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode for the [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode, is that correct?

Correct. Because I have to many events to have it listed the way the events short code does. So I need to use the calendar.

Using the Calendar to display your events is not an issue, however replacing one of Event Espresso 3’s – [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] like this is what has caused the issue.

EE3 has 4 required shortcodes [ESPRESSO_EVENTS], [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS], [ESPRESSO_TXN_PAGE] & [ESPRESSO_CANCELLED].

The pages containing those shortcodes can be hidden from your navigation menu’s but must be published & publicly accessible and set within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Page Settings.

So to fix this, replace [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on the event-registration page (removing any other EE shortcode you may have on that page)

Then create a new page and use [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] on that page, use that Calendar page for you initial ‘Buy tickets’ page. (Hide ‘event-registration’ from the nav menu)

The Calendar simply links back to the page containing [ESPRESSO_EVENTS], passing it some parameters (event_id for example) so that page then only displays that single event for the user to registers. So in doing it the way you are now, you are telling the Calendar page, to link back to the Calendar page, which doesn’t know what to do with the event_id as it wasn’t designed for this.

Does that help?
