Registration Approved email not sending to Primary Registrant

I’ve created an event and have done a test registration. My test email gets the Registration Pending Payment and I get the admin version of that. Then in the admin I manually approve the registration. I get the admin email notification for this also but my test email does NOT receive the approval email I’ve loaded into messages manager. I’m using the default template supplied. On version 4.6.14.p. Can you please test this exact scenario on our staging environment to see if it works?

Hi Jase,

There are a couple of ways to manually Approve a registration, you can do this through the Bulk options – http://take.ms/BXxyz

Through the registration buttons within the registration – http://take.ms/CCTJt

Or by applying a payment to the transaction – http://take.ms/38iid

Can you let me know which of those options you are using to Approve the registration please?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages.

Within the list check the Registration Approved message type.

Is the Primary Registrant context active or the Registrant? (Blue is active)

Can you tell me what is within the ‘To’ field for the context that is active. By default the Registrant context will be active and the [RECIPIENT_EMAIL] shortcode should be within the To field.

Also, is the registration a single registration or multiple?

I am using both the bulk options and the registration buttons within the registration.

In messages for “Registration Approved” message, where it says “Recipients: Event Admin | Primary Registrant | Registrant” both the “Primary Registrant” and the “Registrant” are blue links.

So what I’m gathering is deleting the value in the “To” field in either Registrant or Primary Registrant is the mechanism by which you can choose one or the other? Was it “colliding” because both were blue? Wasn’t clear to me that it needed to be either/or. I must have enabled both while trying to test.

I deleted the value in the To field for the “Primary Registrant” email and tried doing another approval. It seems to work now, although now it doesn’t send the admin version but that is not a problem at all.

It was a single registration.
