Since the beginning of Sep ’15 we are getting multiple incomplete transactions when users register and when the admin direct registers. Even though a user enters all the information for their registrants the transaction errors out when they click continue before going to the payment options. It then leaves a “incomplete” transaction with no registration info except the tickets chosen. When an admin tries direct registrations with multiple tickets, it only allows them to enter one registrant’s info and leaves the rest of the transactions as incomplete. I registered for an event on IE (ver 11.9) and it errored out, I then used Chrome (ver 45.0.2454.99) and it worked fine. However, admin error is happening on Chrome now. Using BlueHost for my EE4 (ver 4.8.10.p) hosting on WP 4.3.1.

Hi Steve, were there any recent changes made to your site around mid September such as new plugin installs?

Could you provide a link to the event so we can give this a try?

I purposely did not install any new plugins to avoid any conflicts with our conference that is this weekend. I also do not use any custom pages/code but use EE4 as installed. Event link: http://navchurch.org/events/let-hope-rise/

Hi Steve, I just sent through a registration with three attendees:

LorenzoTEST CaumTest
Testuser2 Testuser2
Testuser3 Testuser3

Please let us know if the testusers appear in the registrations overview screen within your WP dashboard.

On a sidenote, I noticed that the add this sharing solution interrupted me while I was filling out the registration form. Is there an option to turn off or exclude that from the registration checkout page?

Thanks

Lorenzo

All three of those transactions were marked as abandoned. I do not know if there is a way to suspend the sharing solution by page. I believe it is on or off but I can turn if off for a while if need be.

Hello again Steve,

I had another look at your original support post and I saw that you could duplicate the issue in specific web browsers.

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate only Event Espresso and re-test with any web browser?

Then if it works, restore your site a few plugins at a time and retest again. Continue this process until it breaks with incomplete registrations or until your site has been restored completely with all of your original plugins activated.

So basically you are saying there could be a plugin conflict that intermittently affects the registration process before going to the payment options page. And you do not know if it EE4 or plugin. Before I go through the deconstruction & reconstruction of my site plugins, are there any logs to look at that might indicate what is happening?

Hi Steve, we do see reports of sporadic issues with registration checkout and they are usually do to caching plugins or a conflict with another plugin. I did not see a caching plugin running in the page source so this may be due to another plugin.

I recommend running through the steps that I shared to see if you can pinpoint where the conflict is occurring.
