A registrant has been marked as “approved” and transaction status “complete,” and we received an email confirming the registration. However, we have not received any PayPal payment.

Please help. The event is coming up soon.

Also, payment was apparently made with PayPal Express.

If you look within the EE Transaction for this registration, does it show a payment from PayPal Express there?

To find the transaction, view the registration within the admin by navigating Event Espresso -> Registrations and finding the registration.

Click to view the info and on that section, you’ll see a ‘View Transaction’ button – http://take.ms/9WfiR

I got your email, but can’t respond to it.

Yes. It shows Payment Details and Payment Session Details.

I got your email, but can’t respond to it.

My email?

Do you mean the automatic email from this thread you’ll receive if you are subscribed?

Yes. It shows Payment Details and Payment Session Details.

If it shows a payment there EE must have received details from PayPal for that payment, so it looks like this? – http://take.ms/BUE0n

Have you tried searching for the PayPal transaction ID? Shown in my above screenshot under ‘TXN ID / CHQ #’

I am still trying to find Payment.
I am using free version of EventEspresso that came with my Avada WordPress theme. This is the 3rd time that EventEspresso has behaved strangely out of the blue. Is it because I am using free account? Should I upgrade to a paid license?

Can you confirm the version number of EE you are using, please?

You’ll find that within Dashboard -> Plugins.

Find ‘Event Espresso’ in the list and note the full version number.

EE 4.9.34.p

I also see this message:
A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 4.9.38.p. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

Could this be part of the problem?

It does help to keep the software up-to-date because with each new release, a significant number of improvements get added. So it looks like there are two different domains associated with your Event Espresso.com account. One eding with *better.com and the other ending with *skills.com.

The way forward will be to contact the sales team and they’ll be able to help you get set up with a second support license. The second support license will include another key, so you’ll have a unique support license key for each site. The support license key can only be used on one site at one time to do the 1-click updates.
