Hello,

Is there a way to register multiple registrant to multiple events by copying the registration answers from one to another?
There is a check box after first registrant information, but when it is checked, it copies the first registrant answers for the rest of the registrants. The below message is belong to one of our parents.
“I am registering 2 people at the same time, so some registrations are for different attendees, and after I check the box, all the field that attendee 1, and I cannot enter in attendee 2’s information”

Thank you,

Tony

Hi there,

My apologies but I’m not really sure I understand what you are trying to do.

There is a check box after first registrant information, but when it is checked, it copies the first registrant answers for the rest of the registrants.

That is exactly what is it expected to do, but seems you want something different and I’m not sure what that is.

Can you explain a little more, please?

That copy function is a shortcut to save users retyping out the same details multiple times, but they will obviously still need to amend the details that don’t apply or are different for each registration.

“I am registering 2 people at the same time, so some registrations are for different attendees, and after I check the box, all the field that attendee 1, and I cannot enter in attendee 2’s information”

Why could they not enter attendee 2’s information? The copy function does not lock or disable any fields, it simply copies the values from the primary registrant to all others, after that they can edit the fields.

Can you post a link to an event I can run some test registrations on to view this?

Thank you for the response.

I think, they are trying to register two attendees each for multiple courses at the same time, and they want to be able to enter each attendees information once and copy the information for the rest of the courses. Currently, they have to enter the second attendee’s information manually for each course.

The question is, is there a way to copy the second attendee’s information also?

Best,

Tony

No, not currently.

They can copy Attendee 1’s details throughout and then amend, or none and manually enter them all.

EE would have no way of knowing which ‘course’/event related to which attende e on the attendee information step, so it can’t selectively copy details to come forms and not others.

Thank you for the response.

I understand. It would be easier for this situation if the copy option is only for the next registration not for all, and have the copy check box after each registration. Is it something possible for the future updates?

Thank you

Right now we aren’t looking into changing how the copy function works but I can add your feedback to our feature requests, that doesn’t mean it will be implemented but we monitor those features to see how many people request the changes etc.

It sounds like you may be better simply removing the copy function for the time being and have the users enter the details manually for each registration.
