Do I really need to enter each recurring event in the “Available Ticket” dropbox? Am I missing something?
Also, is there a way to simply import the events directly into the calendar rather than doubling the work and recreating the entire schedule of events into the Calendar add on?

No you actually do not need to enter recurring events into the Available Ticket section, that’s optional.

The official EE4 calendar add-on only uses events that were input into Event Espresso > Events. There’s no need to import events. Are you using the Event Espresso 4 Calendar add-on on your website?

Josh, I do though if I have recurring events. Otherwise, when I use Add Ons like the Event Table, It only lists the start date, not the continual dates that the class runs. It then becomes VERY CONFUSING for CUSTOMERS.
Yes, I’m using the Event Espresso 4 Calendar add-on. The only way I can get the events into the calendar is to re-add them. There is a disconnect somewhere.

May I ask where are you re-adding events? The reason I ask is because the Calendar add-on does not have a place to re-add events.

You can make it so all datetimes are listed in the event table by adding the show_all_datetimes=true parameter to the ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE shortcode. Please see refer to the documentation that shows how to use the Table template add-on:

I have classes that run weekly.
I have one page to show the events…the daily events that run weekly.
I run a yoga studio and our classes are repeated weekly.
I have created all of the events under the “event section” in wordpress and have a page where clients register.
I have a different page that shows the calendar. To make that happen, I had to enter all of the same things that I had to enter from the “event section.” Meaning, when I created the calendar and added the events, I had to re-add events because the “events” and the “calendar” do not seem to be connected. I had to copy all of the text for each event and add it to the calendar events.

I already have that parameter added to the events table.

Whats the ‘event section’? Can you post a screenshot of this?

It sounds like you have an additional event section that isn’t a part of Event Espresso. If you create your events within Event Espresso -> Events (like this – http://take.ms/DZjEX) they would automatically show in the calendar.

There is no section of the calendar to ‘add’ events, it pulls all of the events from Event Espresso and outputs them on the calendar.

Meaning, when I created the calendar and added the events, I had to re-add events because the “events” and the “calendar” do not seem to be connected. I had to copy all of the text for each event and add it to the calendar events.

Can you add screenshots of both of those 2 sections, so far the above doesn’t add up with EE, it sounds like either another plugin or the theme is adding an ‘events section’ and the events have been added to that. That may not be the case, but I’d like to confirm where the events are in the dashboard.

EE4 does not officially support ‘recurring events’, you can create an event and duplicate it multiple times to achieve something like recurring events, but there is not built in method for create an event ‘series’/’group’ right now.
