Hi, I’ve just discovered that some receipt links from last year are working which I did not expect. Any help appreciated. |

Hi there, Can you link me to an event I can register onto where you can trigger the emails to me so I can take a look? |

If you select a free option, you can test it. |

Yes, but EE always expects at least 1 payment method to be active, even if your processing free tickets EE would expect (and force) at least the Invoice payment method to be active. On your site you have none, so the offline payment methods aren’t available and wouldn’t be far from showing Invoice and Receipt message types as invalid. If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates. Can you see both Invoice and Receipt listed there? If so click to edit the receipt, here’s mine: https://monosnap.com/file/yWF4WiMRR0GMiHSoq4aiWqMEcycbtR Does it show the context as active? Like this: |

Yes, both receipt and invoice htmls are active. I have enabled bank for you to test. Thank you. |

Thank you. So next step, that event is using a custom message template for receipt. Edit the event and view the Notifications section (usually at the bottom). In the HTML section, Receipt is set to use a custom template correct? Click the edit button, does it load the custom template correctly? Is that one active? |
|
Ah, I see the problem. The custom receipt was inactive, once I activated it the email link worked perfectly. I was sure the first thing I’d checked was that it was active. But maybe I was looking at the default message. Thanks for your help. You can close this ticket. |

Awesome, I’m glad you found the cause. Any further issues just let us know. |
