Hey – Quick question. I have some people asking me if I can include the cost of the event on the event registration details email that is sent after a person registers. But I thought the system sends out a receipt of payment first (upon a successful order) and THEN sends out the event registration details? Am I wrong? Doesn’t Stripe (payment gateway I am using) send a confirmation of successful payment separately? Or is there a notification that I can turn on in EE to send a receipt of payment? Thanks! |

Hi Matt, If I remember correctly your site is using an old unsupported version of Event Espresso 4 so the answer is maybe. If the site had the current, supported version of Event Espresso 4 the answer would be Yes it can do either where a) the payment email goes out first, then the registration approved message can be sent later if you use the setting to send emails on separate requests. or: Please consider renewing the support license so you’ll have access to support and the newer features. |

Hey Josh – Thanks for your reply. So yes- I know we need to update and its in the queue and being planned and budgeted for (its a costly plugin). But we understand the importance of doing it so its on our priority list. One question: What does maybe mean? It either can or can’t? It does or doesn’t allow for it? I am confused at your response. It would be great to get this working if possible in our current application and we are going to update the application regardless. Thanks a lot! Matt |

Hi Matt, The reason I mentioned maybe is because I don’t know if the exact version of the software running on your site does what you’re asking. I do know that the current version of the software can do what you’re asking, specifically about including the cost of the event on the event registration details email. The newer version of EE4 also has the ability to delay the messages being sent so they can be sent out on a separate request. The way forward will be to update to the current version of the software. We cannot support older versions of the software. |
