I have had many customers try to register for a course and reCAPTCHA will show up initially. When they hit the submit button it then says they didn’t check the button. When the page reloads the reCAPTCHA is not visible then. I’m getting 7 or 8 of these a day. |
Hi Erick, I followed that link and went to an event and tried to register but did not see reCaptcha. It should appear for public visitors but should not appear for logged-in users (e.g. WP administrators). Could you ensure that reCaptcha is on and that credentials are currently setup for it through the registration form settings area in your WP dashboard? Also, please backup your site and update to the latest version of Event Espresso 4: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ — |

Lorenzo, I’m using Event Espresso 4.6.12.p |
Hi, please update to the newest version: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/#4.6.13 I’m taking another look at the site now. — |

Hi, I am seeing the recaptcha in the corner: http://cl.ly/image/0N131b2U3y1t Is it possible that your registrants are overlooking it as it blends in with the background of your page? http://cl.ly/image/2S3f2W2t0e1g — |

Lorenzo, I thought I was updated to the latest since WordPress wasn’t showing the update. I was on the phone with a customer and he was loading and reloading the page. Cleared the cache and cookies and it would not come up again. Additionally, I deleted 10 incomplete registrations that had no contact information so I know they didn’t get past this page. When they clicked the check box the 1st time it did not accept it. Then it came back to the page with now reCaptcha box. The background was new to the page today. It was there yesterday and I deleted 11 from yesterday. |
Hi Erick, WordPress checks for updates twice a day so it may be delayed. Plugins are also checked twice a day. I would like to clarify on this comment:
Event Espresso marks a registration as incomplete as soon as you click the register button. The status and actual attendee information is then updated as an attendee/registrant progresses through registration checkout and completes a registration. A completely blank registration is one that was abandoned early in the registration process. Could you monitor this issue and let us know if it continues? I tested in Safari and it worked once you turned it back on. If it happens in another web browser, then do let us know so we can troubleshoot with those web browsers. — |

I will monitor it. I had 2 other INCOMPLETE registrations yesterday afternoon. One I believe is yours. Both say transaction failed when I hover over the submission date. Neither have contact information in the submission. I did have 5 successful registrations though. The customer I was on the phone with said he was using AOL to do the registration. I would assume he was using IE. |

Oh, forgot to add that as of this morning I still don’t have the update for EE4 listed in WordPress. |
Hi, we rolled out another update this afternoon so we are up to Event Espresso 4.6.14: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/#4.6.14 Is the update notice still not appearing? Thanks — |

Got the update about an hour after I posted the above but it was for Event Espresso 4.6.13.p which I have now. |
Alright, your site should check for updates twice a day which is roughly every 12 hours. You mentioned that you updated this morning and we rolled out the latest update late this afternoon (eastern time). Your site should prompt you for an update later today when it checks for updates again. Do let us know if the issue continues afterwards. — |
