We recently had to add all countries to the system because we had some international customers attending some events and they needed to be able to select their country/state at checkout for their billing address.
However we’re noticing almost all customers are getting address verification errors:
The transaction has been declined because of an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match billing address of cardholder. (Reason Code: 27)
Most customers are able to complete the checkout after retrying once or twice, but there are some that retry 3+ times before they complete the payment.
Our guess it’s because the customer is selecting their “State” from the full list with all countries before selecting the “Country” field that updates the “States” field with filtered options to the country selected.
Is there a way to reorder the checkout fields so customers can select the “Country” first then updates the “States” field with the filtered options?
The auth.net AIM integration method has been deprecated by auth.net itself so have also deprecated the AIM payment method within Event Espresso (it is no longer available within new installs).
