We have opened up a staging server to try and troubleshoot this further. We’ve disabled all plugins (including membership blocking ones) except Postman SMTP (which handles our email sending), Event Espresso, and Event Espresso WP Users Add-on. Have also switched to the default 2017 theme and updated Event Espresso to the latest version. Still, when we click ‘Resend Registration Notification’ on the front-end, a hundred plus emails are generated. There is no caching on the page and have double checked this in Pingdom tools page test with the headers.
OKay! So, it was Postman SMTP. I tried it with the default sending and it worked. But we need to use our own sender, so I tried Easy WP SMTP and the problem was still gone. Thanks for bearing with me with this, appreciate it.
