Starting new thread… Josh said: It would be best if we can follow up in another thread because this is a different issue. In this case, the registration isn’t working some of the time and the cause and solution may be different for this site than the other sites mentioned in this thread. Can you start a new thread and let us know if [https_enabled] => 1 in the Event Espresso – Maintenance – System Information box? The other thing that you can try is set the wp super cache plugin to not cache URLs with /events or /registration-checkout in them. You’ll find the do not cache page list in the WP super cache advanced settings. Answer re: [https_enabled] => 1 is yes Appreciate your help as no sales all eve 🙁 |
Hello, I do see that you worked with a team member in a prior support post to resolve an issue related to caching. I just went to your site and registered for the “Home House VIP Singles Party” but did not see any error messages. Do you remember what the error message was and is this occurring with a specific event? — |

Hey Lorenzo – it’s the following two links: http://popupspeeddating.com/events/sw7-london-speed-dating-age-22-35-thurs-20-mar-1/ http://popupspeeddating.com/events/sw7-london-speed-dating-age-32-45-thurs-20-mar-1/ A regular client tried three times and sent me this message: I’ve just tried again. I had tried selecting 2 tickets initally, then thought maybe it didn’t like having multiple attendees so when to buy 1 at a time. I have just tried again and it has come up with the following error message: An error has occurred: Thanks for your help |
Hello again, I registered for the following event (http://popupspeeddating.com/events/sw7-london-speed-dating-age-22-35-thurs-20-mar-1/) using the name Test User. I did not see any errors. Could you ask your client to go to this link: http://popupspeeddating.com/registration-cancelled/ Then could they try registration one more time? — |

Right, well I’ve not heard back from the client so I guess that’s sales lost as far as I know – I’ve just had another message – can you guys have a look at this please – I’m losing too many sales. See below: I’ve been trying to buy a ticket to your event next week (27/2) and managed you register but now it won’t let me proceed to pay, an error message appears. I tried to pay last night and it only would accept US credit cards? Thanks |
It may help to update to the latest version of the ee4 beta (Event Espresso 4.1.5) that we just released because it has a few tweaks to how the session data gets passed from the reg form to help in cases where [https_enabled] => 1 is yes. With the other issue where people can’t pay without a US credit card, which payment gateway are you using? Event Espresso doesn’t have a setting where it would disallow non-US credit cards, but your payment processor account may have this. Have you tried testing payments with a non-US credit card to see if that’s the case? |

Yes, I’ve been completely up to date all the wat. I dont understand the US issue but now two clients have referred to it. The latest stating: Hi, I want to register myself for the event of the 20th of march but for State and Country I have as option only Canada and United States, while I live in UK.Why? In admin everything is suppose to be UK Can I get someone to log in and take a look. This is not good for bizz |
|
Ok, the US/ UK get thing is resolved (I think). I note that you need to check the ‘feature in list’ as well as select the country in the admin so my bad… As for the error message – I’m no wiser. And sorry guys – another thing – I no longer have a side bar in events which is pretty essential. Any ideas? And for all – don’t forget to delete your posts generated from EE3 events as people will try an purchase from there and get nowhere!! |

Hi, Please go to General Settings > Countries tab and make sure that “Country Appears in Dropdown Select Lists” is set to Yes. However, right now only US and Canada have their regions set, so you will need to add in the counties manually. I am currently trying to find an up to date county list to give to the developers to include in future releases, but due to the UK government and EU messing about with the counties there are about 5 different ones so picking the right one is confusing. |
Hi there, > As for the error message – I’m no wiser. I think the issue you’re seeing on the registration page is related to having the WordPress administration set to be https. You should be able to work around this by setting the Event Espresso critical pages to also be load as https. Please see this guide for more info: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/ > And sorry guys – another thing – I no longer have a side bar in events which is pretty essential. Any ideas? Did you have sidebars before the last Event Espresso 4 update? Have you check the WordPress > Appearance > Widgets settings to make sure widgets are set up? |

Ok boys well done, I think the https has done the job – I’ll only come back if there are continued problems. Thank you very much for your swift responses as always. Now I can sit back and enjoy your awesome plug in! There’s some really great new features. 🙂 |
