My Client has a Covid-19 Antibody testing series of events. After a person pays for their “ticket” we need to re-direct them to a page where they complete a medical questionaire. How do we do this please? Regards Steve B |
Hi Steve, May I ask, what are you using for the medical questionnaire? One option is to add a link to the thank you page so that when the user is directed back the can click the link to complete the form, however it’s important to note it won’t be linked to their registration. After payment, the thank you page needs to load to tell Event Espresso to finalize the registration and whilst you would then redirect away from the page again it might be a little confusing for your users. What about including the questionnaire link within the Registration Approved email, would that work for you? |

Hi Tony I am using Formidable Forms. The form is already completed here: https://ntlbiologica.com/antibodytesting/covid-19-antibody-testing/calendar/testing-consent/ Neither of the methods you suggest would really work as they rely on the customer both seeing any link or indeed even bothering to do so. However I have put the link anyway in the registration complete email, just in case. What I have done is amended the thank you page :- https://ntlbiologica.com/antibodytesting/covid-19-testing-events/thank-you/ To contain the form with an animated notice at the top of the page telling people then need to complete the form. It’s not ideal as someone can just close the browser tab but hopefully it will work. Regards Steve |
Is it a requirement that the user provides those details after payment? The reason I ask if we’ve seen other users include a link within a checkbox question on the registration and then set that checkbox to be required, very similar to a terms & conditions setup. So have something like this on the registration form: https://monosnap.com/file/XIKt3eumglAf7aJQDemmSaCdBKr0Dc |

Hi Tony We have the check box, But the UK law insistes that they have a completed and signed form. The check box solution does not comply. Hench the form we are now using. At least by filling it in we get a copy too and can formce them to sign when they come. No sign, no test!! Steve |
Hmm, ok, then I can’t think of any other options you can use without some custom code. For future reference, may I ask how a checkbox acknowledging they have completed the form with a link to the same form you are currently using does not comply? What you end up with is something like this: COVID consent form* — I understand they need to sign the form so I’m not suggesting you switch to just a checkbox for consent but link to the form and force an acknowledgement of it. Meaning when/if the user arrives and states there wasn’t a form you can clearly show they checked the box to acknowledge they submitted the form. |

Hi Tony That is what we had. We found people were just putting a tick in the checkbox, ignoring the form and then completing the payment, OR, complaining that if they clicked on the link they did not know how to get back to carry on with their payment, as they were taken away from the booking. It has to be really simple and flow. We are dealing with consumers here, some poorly literate on computers, some technophobes. Putting a tick in the box allows them to carry on, even with the way you have worded it, I had something pretty similar too, but they were just ignoring it. Regards Steve |
Ahh, ok. Thank you. So it’s not that it doesn’t comply (which is why I was confused) but that it doesn’t work for your users, which is fine and I understand now. |
