Each event I’ve created has just two ticket types (Member / Visitor)
yet on occasion when I view the Event there are additional tickets (of either Member or Visitor) as though they have been duplicated.
I’m not adding these myself so where are they coming from?
(I have yet to notice a pattern to this)

When I’ve spotted one I’ve deleted it (using trash icon in admin), but when I update (the event) a NEW one (new id) appears and I’ve had to resort to deleting the records directly from the database.

here is a screenshot showing 2 additional ‘Member’ tickets I have not created

I’ve updated to 4.6.31 but it has been doing the same in last two versions

Hi Geoff, any caching services running?

Also, would you happen to be using a separate plugin for duplicating these events or are they being created as new events?

If you look within Event Espresso -> Events, on the top tabs do you see a ‘Default Tickets’ tab? – http://take.ms/vHYhd

If so can you take a screenshot of that please.

Hi Lorenzo,
NO caching plugins, events created through standard admin interface.

Hi Tony,
Yes, both tickets for each event are the same so I have them saved as Default Tickets.

All of the events have been published for the last month, and extra tickets show up occasionally during that time – i.e. it is not just after creating the event.

Hi Geoff, so say you create an event today called event ABC and then save. In a few days, the tickets will be duplicated on their own?

Is that an overview of the issue that are are experiencing?

Hi Lorenzo,
that has been my experience, and on more than one event.
Sorry I can’t narrow anything more down – like I say I haven’t found a pattern but it has only happened occasionally.
I was hoping you guys had seen something similar before.
Is there any logging I should look at/enable?

FYI: I’ve noticed that this has only happened on the 2 events (out of 7) that have registrations.

Hi Geoff, we have a recent report where a member was using a duplicate post plugin to duplicate the events. This was causing issues with ticket options in the ticket selector.

However, your issue sounds different in that, the new options are appearing on their own.

Could you share a list of plugins that are on your site?

Sure, this is the list (all at latest versions)
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Capability Manager Enhanced
Contact Form 7
Contact Form DB
Cookie Law Info
Event Espresso
Event Espresso – Counties Pack: United Kingdom
Event Espresso – WP Users (EE4.6+)
Membership Premium
Meta Slider
NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
Page Builder by SiteOrigin
Really Simple CAPTCHA
Shortcodes Ultimate
Simple Custom CSS
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
Ultimate Branding
User Profiles Made Easy
WordPress SEO
wpMandrill

I also have two of my own plugins (ya hear alarm bells 😉
one for exporting CSV data of registrations (only reads)
the other is site specific customisation hooking text filters, overriding Upcoming Events widget)

I have Deactivated everything except the EE ones for the time being to test further.

On the event in screenshot below it was showing tickets Member, Member, Visitor
(where there should only be one of each)
I clicked Trash for the first Member ticket then clicked Update button.
The trashed button reappeared (so it was as in the original state).
I then clicked the Trash for the second Member ticket and clicked Update.
That seems to have worked (sort of) as there is now an ‘archived’ Member Ticket, however there is a new active Member Ticket.
See screenshot.

This tallies with what has happened in the database – i.e. one of the existing Member tickets in wp_esp_ticket is now marked as deleted but a new record is introduced.

Not sure if it will help, but what’s interesting about the other event (now passed) is that two of the tickets are expired but one remains active, yet you can see that the dates to be on sale are all identical.
I’m not sure which one is the ‘extra’ ticket or whether it appeared after the event expiry. I’m pretty confident this was occurring before they expired.

Further information
Here’s a snapshot of the ticket table after I trashed a ticket from this event with TKT_ID 27
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7167400/ticket-table.png

New ticket with TKT_ID 28 has been created, but note TKT_order and TKT_row are both set to 1 (as is TKT_ID 4)
A correctly created set of tickets should have an order with 1,2,3,4 yet here we have 1,1,3,4
All highlighted records are from the same event (one datetime per event)
