Random Customers not showing as registered after paying with Paypal

We have customers that register for a class and are sent to Paypal. They successfully pay and we do see their transaction in Paypal but they are not in the backend of Event Espresso as a registered attendant. This happens very randomly but enough that it is very worrisome.

Hi there,

Does in the backend it shows the payment status as Incomplete?
