How much would it cost to get this working? Have there been any sponsors for the gateway yet?

I see that there’s a $1400 cost on “Custom Gateway Development”, but that is an unreasonable cost for our organization to provide. This is the feature that we chose Event Espresso over other plugins for and it was already built into EE3.

We’re at the point of migrating our event registrations to another plugin because we can’t wait for this gateway, nor can we sponsor the development.

It’d be great to hear a more reasonable explanation than reverting to EE3. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Terry, the Quickbooks payment gateway is not available natively for Event Espresso 4. It is not available under Mijireh either which currently supports 70+ payment options.

Custom payment gateway development begins at $1,000. We understand that not all organizations are able to afford that cost.

Have you considered looking at other payment processors such as Stripe or Authorizenet?

Lorenzo, we understand that it is not available for EE4 and that it is expensive to develop. We are greatly disappointed that EE4 was released missing so many crucial features. There’s really no excuse to develop two different versions of your software that leave some customers stranded like we are now.

We’ll likely be moving to a WooCommerce based solution that can integrate with our Quickbooks accounting system.

As a word of advice, it would be smarter to offer more realistic sponsorship opportunities for feature development. $1000 is too much for one person or organization to pay. It would make much more sense to get 10 people to pay $100.

Disappointed.

Hi Terry, sorry to hear that Event Espresso won’t be able to meet your needs.

Generally, if a payment gateway is not available in as a native add-on, then it is through Mijireh. However, in this case, it was not available as an option.

Hi Terry,

We started development for a Quickbooks payment gateway for Event Espresso 4 earlier this week. This should be available as a payment gateway add-on for Event Espresso 4 within a few weeks.

We’ll let you know once its available.

Thanks

Lorenzo
