Gah- I finally got Intuit to process payments with EE. I ran a couple charges, they went through, everything seems to work just fine.. Then I got this email from the Accounting director:
Our latest quest is to import the credit card transactions processed by Event Espresso through the Intuit payment gateway. Our QB rep. pointed us to an add-on named QuickBooks Web Connector and indicated that our third-party web store provider (Event Expresso) would need to help us. We installed the Web Connector and quickly found that we need a .qwc file that provides information on the application to which we are attempting to connect.
I could not find anything online regarding Event Espresso and a .qwc file. From looking at the Event Espresso site, they promote that transaction data can now be imported into QB but I could not find any further information on how.
Hi, our payment gateway is for the Intuit Merchant Service. It will process payments for your payment gateway but does not automatically transfer any registration data from your WordPress site into Quickbooks directly.
However, the transaction information for your registrants should be available in your Intuit merchant account. You should then be able to move this information into Quickbooks.
I am pretty sure upon investigation that the .qwc file they are trying to reference it totally on the Intuit side and they are trying to push it to EE because they don’t want to deal with it. Thanks so much for the speedy response!! Lorenzo you’re the greatest!
Sounds about right as I haven’t heard of a qwc file before. If you need anything else please let us know and we will help if we can.
