The instructions on this document don’t match Intuit’s current site setup: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/quickbooks-payment-gateway/

Setting this up *seems* like if I followed the steps, it would be straightforward, but as Intuit’s site is structured now I’m having trouble making heads or tails of it. Launch URLs, Disconnect URLs… advice is appreciated!

Hi Michelle,

I just checked and the steps in the document match what I see when I’m logged into https://developer.intuit.com. Was there a specific step in the instructions that didn’t seem to match up?

Thanks for the response, Josh! I’ll try again tonight and report back!

Here’s what I’m seeing:

Locate your Credentials for QuickBooks
4) You will see another screen with two more options. Look for the Payments option and the QuickBooks option and place a checkmark next to each option and then click on the Create app button
There is no Quickbooks option under Payments for me to place a checkmark next to.

Create your Development (Testing) App
1) Click on the Development link from your Intuit Developer screen and then click on Settings.
I’m not seeing a “Development” link here. Along the top, there’s a “Settings” tab (Dashboard / Keys / Settings / Webhooks / Applisting), but since I didn’t see a “Development” link, I”m not sure this is the correct link.

3) Click on App Info and change the Application Name to something more memorable and easy to recognize such as “Testing app for QuickBooks” and click Save.
There’s nothing called “App Info” on this screen. There’s “App name”, but I certainly don’t need to click on it. I realize this seems really picky, but because I am not familiar with a lot of this stuff, I can’t be certain I’m in the right spot.

4) Now click on App URLs and then enter the information about your website. You should update the Host Domain, Launch URL, and Disconnect URL and then click Save.
Again, I scrolled to find Host Domain etc, I didn’t have to click on anything. So here’s hoping this is the right spot?

THat’s where I stopped. I noticed in another thread that a user pointed out:
“There are a number of sniggly misnamed links and such in the instructions that make following the instructions difficult. I’m sure when written they were perfect, but it seems Intuit has updated the pages since then.”

In the likely event that this I’m in over my head here, is there any recommended community or place to go to pay someone to hook this up?

You check both boxes.

If you see a settings tab, you’re there already, so you click on the Settings tab.

App Name = Application Name

4) Now click on App URLs and then enter the information about your website. You should update the Host Domain, Launch URL, and Disconnect URL and then click Save.
Again, I scrolled to find Host Domain etc, I didn’t have to click on anything. So here’s hoping this is the right spot?

The App URLs no longer appear to have their own section labeled App URLs, but each field is clearly labeled within the fieldset:

Hope that helps! I think you’re well on your way to get this up and running. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions/concerns.
