I have some addition registration questions, and I see this:
https://imgur.com/a/e15hKGF – the dropdown is set to “Required” but the text under it says “Required is set to optional, and this field is disabled, because the question is Admin-Only.”

The question is not admin-only (the admin only option is unticked)

Also, is there a way to test the registration process before going live?

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

Looks like something has changed within the HTML and our JS used in the registration form needs to be updated, it’s a visual issue and we’ll get it fixed.

Also, is there a way to test the registration process before going live?

Without this coming across the wrong way, just register onto the event to test it then cancel/delete the registration?

Thanks Tony. I am struggling with registering for this event, I can’t seem to get past the ticket screen. There is a custom registration process on this site, and I wonder if the update to EE5 has broken this. Is there a way to roll back to version 4 to see?

Thanks

Hi Tony,

Just to follow this up, there is a custom plugin that alters the ticket flow, and it was looking for an <a> link inside the ticket, but there was no link. This generated an error with the custom plugin code until I selected Events > Edit > Templates and changed “Show Ticket Details?” to “Yes”.

I am now using the latest version or EE and everything seems fine, now that setting has been changed.

Regarding testing the registration questions, I have to make the event and ticketing live in order to see the questions. It would be good to be able to do this privately first.

Sorry, I don’t follow?

Did you publish the event privately to test?

Oh no, how silly of me – it didn’t occur to me that was an option for events. Of course I could have published privately! I even said as much in my last message. I thought it would show as a private event in listings, but it doesn’t show at all, which is perfect! Sorry to waste your time.

You’re not wasting my time, that’s why I’m here and sometimes it just takes another set of eyes 🙂

Any further questions just let me know.
