Hi all,

I’m working on a conference registration website that all of the participant will be from Indonesia. Is there any way I can change the language to Indonesia (for the front end)? Or maybe you can show me in which file I can change the language?

Next, we will also have another conference that will be opened to participant from other countries. But when I added the country options in the form, there are only US and Canada provided in the country options. How can I get the full country list? not just US and Canada.

Thanks,

Joanne Tjia

Hi Joanne,

You can translate event espresso using .PO/.MO files, have you worked with these before? You can download the current translations through our GlotPress project here:

http://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/id/event-espresso-id_ID

Rename the file to event_espresso-id_ID.po and then edit it using POEdit when you save the file within POEdit, a .mo file will be created in the same locations as the .po file. You’ll want to upload that file to wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/ to translate EE. To not both the front-end and the admin will be translated.

Next, we will also have another conference that will be opened to participant from other countries. But when I added the country options in the form, there are only US and Canada provided in the country options. How can I get the full country list? not just US and Canada.

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Countries.

When you edit the country select in the dropdown, on the left you will see the option ‘Country Appears in Dropdown Select Lists’, set that to Yes for any country you want to appear in the lists – http://take.ms/DNREY

The ‘states’ you have set for countries set to Yes will also load in the ‘state’ dropdown.

Does that help?
