Question dropdown doesn't drop down

I am separating the names by a comma, but they display in a long horizontal line. I tried removing the spaces (jon,jon etc) but that didn’t work either.
WP version 3.9.1
Event Espresso 4.2.9.p
no addons
Installed new yesterday

Hi,

In EE4 you add each item for the dropdown within its own answer option, for example – http://take.ms/MXM6Z

Then when you view the registration form you’ll see – http://take.ms/cppMw
