On this page, http://www.hispanic-contractors.org/?page_id=1123&regevent_action=register&event_id=167, the personal questions aren’t showing up. I just updated the EE plugin and as well as the Calendar Add-on today.

I’m also getting this message on the General Settings: “The Secure Payment System has been removed.”

I’d like to use the support token I recently bought but don’t see how to so use this.

Hi David,

If you have any of the older versions of the roles and permissions add-on active, you’ll need to deactivate them and resave your event.

The secure payment system was removed about 1 year ago, and we now recommend using a plugin like WordPress HTTPS to secure the payment page if need be.

If you’d like someone from support to work on these items for the 30 minutes of priority support purchased, please send us temporarily WordPress admin and FTP credentials via this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Please double check these before sending and make sure the credentials work.

Hi David,

I re-stored the main 3 questions (First Name, Last Name, and email) that belong to the Personal information group.

I also installed the WordPress https plugin in order to secure the payment page, but in order to use this plugin you’ll need to renew the SSL certificate with your SSL certificate provider as it has expired.

I’m seeing some errors on the payment page, so I’ll see what that’s all about and try to fix this.

Hi David,

The errors on the payment page were caused by the old authnet gateway files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. I removed them so the authnet gateway files that are included in the new version of Event Espresso will work, and now the payment page loads up as expected.

Please note that both of the Authorize.net gateways are active. You can use the SIM method without an SSL certificate, but the AIM method requires that you have a valid SSL cert set up, and that the registration/payment pages are secured. The WordPress HTTPS plugin is installed, but in order to secure these pages, the SSL cert needs to be renewed. Once it’s renewed, you can follow this guide to secure the registration pages:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/

Also, you’ll likely need to update the relay response URL in the authnet account if you intend to use the SIM method. The relay response URL for your site can be found in the Event Espresso>Payment>Authorize.net SIM settings box where it says “Relay Response URL”.

Hi Josh,

I was able to get the SSL renewed and set up again. I don’t understand how to make sure which page is using the SSL according to this page you mentioned: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/ could you help me with this?

also, there is a graphic for paying by credit card. It has Discover and AMEX on the graphic and the client wants to make sure people don’t think they can use those two cards — they only take Visa and Mastercard. is there a way to change this?

DAve

Hi David,

It’s the three pages with the following shortcodes:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS]

[ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS]

[ESPRESSO_TXN_PAGE]

The exact pages are listed on the Event Espresso>System status page as well.

The payment button image can be changed in both cases. If you FTP into the /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/gateways directory, you’ll see a pay-by-credit-card.png file that you can replace with your own pay by credit card image. There’s a .psd file in the same directory that can be opened in Photoshop and altered if that helps. It’s probably easier to find another credit card button image and swap it in though.
