Three issues:

1. If we want to have it so when someone buys 2 or more tickets to a single event they get a 10% discount on the entire order, will the Multiple Event add-on allow that?

2. We have added a couple of custom fields to the Personal information group. The additional questions show up in the registration form for the main attendee, but they do not show up for additional attendees. If you go to edit an additional attendee afterwards though, then you do see the additional questions.

3. Is there a way (with or without an add-on) to make it so we have an optional item on event tickets that they can select with a checkbox for radio button for an add-on to a ticket. For example, someone buys a ticket, but there is an option to purchase a collectible program with it for an additional fee. I don’t see any way to do that currently.

Hello,

Here is feedback on your questions:

1) That is a volume based discount which is not currently available as a discount condition. However, you could create a ticket (pricing option) bundle:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/

2) You created some custom questions and then assigned them to the personal question group. Are you collecting the personal question group for additional registrants? It is a checkbox option in the bottom right area of the event editor.

And a follow up question — could you confirm that the system personal question group was not renamed and then another one created? The reason I ask is that the personal and address question groups hold system questions which will be recorded to the registrant contact record. This means that they won’t appear in the custom registration question answers area in the registration details screen.

3) You can set that up by setting the original ticket to required and then creating another ticket option for an add-on. The required option is available through the advanced area of the ticket editor. It is the gear icon on the ticket editor. Be sure to save changes after through the event editor.

Hi Lorenzo,

1. I will check that.

2. We just created a couple extra questions and added them to the Personal Information group that was already there. Those additional questions show up on the registration form for the main attendee, but not for additional attendees. Yes, we set additional attendees to use that question group, and the default questions do show up for them, but the ones we added do not. However, when you go to the review screen and have the ability to edit attendees, when we do that, the questions we added are shown. They just don’t show on the registration form.

3. Ok I will check that out.

1. The article you linked to says it is for EE 4.3 or higher. We’re using version 3.

3. I don’t see a ticket editor anywhere in EE 3.

Alright, you are using Event Espresso 3?

Here is some updated feedback:

1) Try the volume discount add-on which is available in the pre-release channel:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/volume-discount-add-on/

2) In the event editor, under event options, what do you have set for the additional registration info?

Here is a screenshot of what I’m referring to:

http://cl.ly/1v1T1u3e2M3T

3) The price modifier add-on can be used to create a question which can then increase or decrease the base cost of a ticket:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-price-modifier-add-on/

Note that you’ll need to join the pre-release channel through your account page before you’ll see those add-ons:

2. I have it requiring the personal information there. As I said, the pre-existing personal information fields do show on registration page, but the additional questions we added do not. However, once you get past registration, if you choose to try to edit, those fields then show. They do show for the main attendee.

Regarding 1 and 3, we’ll try those.

Thanks.

Price modifier addon is working great with one exception. We set up checkbox question then put that it modifies price, then for the values we put the following:

Yes|25,No|0

But on the registration form it shows Yes (add $25) for the yes option, but the other option doens’t show the word No, it just shows a 0 which doesn’t look good.

Hi there,

2. I have it requiring the personal information there. As I said, the pre-existing personal information fields do show on registration page, but the additional questions we added do not. However, once you get past registration, if you choose to try to edit, those fields then show. They do show for the main attendee.

Change that option to ‘Full registration information’ to display any custom questions you also have assigned within the Personal Information question group.

If you select ‘Personal Information only’ it will only display the 3 system questions, first name, last name and email.

But on the registration form it shows Yes (add $25) for the yes option, but the other option doens’t show the word No, it just shows a 0 which doesn’t look good.

Currently the Price modifier add-on does not allow for 0 value questions. You can work around that by simply using a ‘Yes’ checkbox, meaning if the user selects Yes the value will be added on, if they don’t now value will be added.

Ok on changing to a checkbox.

Regarding the personal information vs full registration, wont’ that make all the other fields like address etc show up for additional attendees? (Which I don’t want.)

Not if you don’t have those fields enabled within the Additional registrations questions box.

You only want the personal information question group right? Including any custom questions within that question group? If so set that dropdown to full registration information but make sure no other question groups selected for the additional attendees.
