Hi all, We setup on site last year in English and Spanish and used qTranslate. This week we purchased EE4 and are running into issues. From support forums it appears we cannot integrate EE4 on our site if qTranslate is installed?? If anyone has any advice on how we can use EE4 on our site?? Thanks |
Hi Alan, What issues are you running into with qTranslate? Currently, EE isn’t compatible with multiple languages, you can translate EE to various single languages but not multiple languages on a single site. To work around that some users use 2 installs of EE, one subdomain/folder in English and another in Spanish. |

Hi Alan, I have not seen this issue before. So is the plugin you’re using called qTranslate-x, version 3.4.6.8? If so, may I ask what’s set for the URL Modification Mode option on the Settings > Languages page? |

Yes thats the plugin The 2 options selected are Use Pre-Path Mode (Default, puts /en/ in front of URL). SEO friendly Hide URL language information for default language. |
OK thanks for the clarification. Does the issue happen if only EE4 & qTranslate-X are activated? The reason I ask is because I wonder if there’s a third plugin that’s causing the redirect issue. |

Hi Josh, Only works when we disbale QTranslate! Tks |
Hi Alan, I’m afraid I’m not familiar with qTranslate to know how to fix this. When I try to test the event page on your site, the URL params include this: Normally I would advise to contact the qTranslate-X team for support, but from reviewing their support form, it appears the project has been abandoned. One of the topics there mentioned there’s a new, community-based project based on qTranslate. You could try that plugin instead, it’s available here: |
