Hi, I just bought Event Espresso and I am confused as to what I have bought. I want EE4 personal license along with a number of add ons. I bought something for $99 but I am worried that it is EE3. When I go to my account page it looks like I have EE4 and EE3 and a bunch of add ons I did not purchase. Please help. -Cindra |
Hi Cindra, That is a good question. When you purchase Event Espresso 3, then you’ll also receive Event Espresso 4 along with equivalent add-ons. We do this to provide an upgrade path to members that are using Event Espresso 3. For example, Event Espresso 3 comes with Authorizenet SIM so we provide Authorizenet SIM as an add-on for Event Espresso 4. Your support license will allow you to use Event Espresso 3 or Event Espresso 4. Could you tell us about your registration needs? We’ll then help you select a version that is a good fit. Thanks — |

Hey Lorenzo, This is Cindra and Vickie Sontag is the office manager of our sister school. Once I finished my website, Vickie decided she wanted to update her website and make it just like mine. We have worked with a developer to essentially copy my website and all the custom coding but obviously we don’t want Vickie to have pirated software so Vickie is trying to figure out what she needs to buy to match mine. I understand what you are saying about E3 and E4 but there are still inconsistencies like it is showing that Vickie owns E4 stripe and she has not bought that. Also on my own account (Art Nook), my stripe add on along with my mail chimp add on is missing. My website is prompting me with the message below: “An automatic update for Event Espresso – Stripe Gateway (EE 4.6.0+) is available but your Support License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” Please help. -Cindra |
Hi Cindra, similar to Authorizenet SIM, Stripe was also available for Event Espresso 3. Therefore, we provide an equivalent add-on for Stripe for Event Espresso 4. Again, this is because we want to provide an upgrade path to members that may be using Event Espresso 3. I’ve double-check Vickie’s account and things appear to be in order. Please follow up with us here and a member of our team will double-check your account for you: sales at eventespresso.com — |

Hey Lorenzo, Thanks for the clarification. Just one more question…am I supposed to be emailing sales@eventespresso.com to find out about the missing stripe add on and mail chimp add on on my own account? |
Hi, yes you should email us privately so we can check your account for you. We do not discuss account questions / purchases in our support forums which are public. — |
