I understand that registrations are linked to usernames and email addresses and each person must have an unique email address. This seems to be what allows the system to show the list of previous events that a user has registered for. I currently have a situation where (because or record keeping) I need to have all people who purchase a ticket to have their own account. One of these people is trying to purchase 2 tickets and assign one to herself and the other to a different who already has an account with our system. I checked to make sure that all of the information that the she is using to make the registration is correct but it won’t let her register the second person. I gives her an error message saying that user is already in the system and she needs to use a different email address. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it. I really don’t want to make her register each person interdependently as that is redundant and seems to make the ability to purchase multiple tickets at once useless. Thank you so much for your help.
If I add this code, will that mean that it will create a different user account every time someone purchases a ticket? We are using event espresso to run classes and it’s important that the classes and information for a specific user stay in the correct account. I don’t want each user to have multiple accounts. If this is the case, is there a way to merge accounts?
