Hello,

I upgraded the plugin and the main app today and the promotions plugin and the plugin no longer works.

I get the following error:

The EE_Promotion_Event_Scope class was not found. EE_Promotion – scope_obj – 398

I tried going into the plugin settings and saving but that did nothing.
I tried disabling the plugin and activating it again and that did nothing.
I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it… Nothing.
I activated debug mode and got a ton of data but I don’t feel comfortable pasting it here…

Can you help? I need this to work ASAP

Hi Matthew,

How are you installing the plugins, as in via FTP or the Plugin Manager?

I’d like to see the output of WP_DEBUG for this, are there any errors shown within Event Espresso -> Promotions?

If you could re-enable WP_DEBUG and provide details for us to view the errors using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll take a look.

Or if you prefer you can send the Debug output to support[at]eventespresso.com, however note we may still need access to take a look anyway.

Hello Tony,

I’m installing via the plugin manager.

I have sent a print screen as well as the output of the WP_DEBUG by e-mail.

Thanks!

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Do you have the MailChimp add-on activated? If so, can you update it to the current version?

Hi Josh,

I am running the mail chimp plugin, version 1.0.7. There does not seem to have an update available.

Hi Matthew,

That’s strange. The latest version of the EE4 MailChimp add-on is 2.3.1. Can you download it from your account, remove the old version from your plugins, then install and activate the new version?

Hey Matthew,

Let’s try this before deleting the old version. Please go to Event Espresso > General Settings and click Save. This should trigger an update check, and you should see an updating notification in the Plugins menu.

Hi Jonathan,

Doing the save did trigger the updates. I updated everything and now it works!

Cheers! You guys are amazing!

Marking as resolved.

Matthew
