Hello,

I just installed the new EE4 Promotions plugin, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I see a button that says “Submit Promotion Code” on the registration payment page, but when I click on it, all it does is bring me down to the bottom of the page to the “Pay Now” section. When I click on the “Pay Now” button, I don’t see an option to enter a code.

Hi Wendy, a pay now button means that you are using Stripe. Could you confirm that Event Espresso 4 and Stripe are up-to-date?

Here are the latest version numbers:

Event Espresso 4 4.8.7
EE4 Stripe Payment Gateway 1.0.8.p

Yes I’m using Stripe. Both versions are up to date.

Hi Wendy,

We can investigate this further if you can send WordPress admin level log in credentials via the contact form on this page:

Hi Wendy,

It turns out the active theme has a style rule that sets input fields to have no border. Normally you’ll see a input field to the left of the Submit promo code button.

I went ahead and added this temporary inline CSS rule to your registration-checkout page:

<style>#ee-promotion-code-input{border:1px solid #000000;}</style>

The black border around the promo code field allows the input field to be visible now.

You can add something similar to your child theme’s style.css file and remove the temporary inline style from the page if you’d like.

Ok. Looks like it’s working now. Thanks, Josh!

You’re welcome. To be clear, it worked before, but the input was invisible so you had to guess where to click and input the promo code.
